Artistry is all about picking up a paint brush and painting a beautiful picture even though you have never painted before or an artist who would like a change from their usual medium and trying something different. This is a wet on wet oil painting technique. The starting point is applying a medium which could be 1 of 3; Liquid White • Liquid Clear • Liquid Black.
Each give their own characteristics to the painting. The oil colours will blend with this medium to create beautiful tones and colours. During our time together, l will be able to help you with brush techniques and information to guide you through step by step:-
- We start with a beautiful landscape as your first painting in order we can gain maximum method and experience using all the different brushes and equipment to take you forward in this unique painting experience.
- You will learn how to mix colours
- Brush techniques using large and small brushes
- How to load and use knife correctly
- Use of perspective and the art of lights and darks.
- The workshops take place in my home studio in a warm and friendly atmosphere guaranteeing individual attention at all times.
- Canvas, paints, brushes and easels are all provided also the all-important tea and coffee for sustenance this is all included in the price.
- Please wear suitable clothing or bring an apron just in case and also bring a large kitchen roll and baby wipes for your own use.
